About Me
Welcome to my homepage! I'm a 2nd year Ph.D. student in mathematics at NUS, having the great privilege to be advised by Xin. T. Tong.
Currently, my research interest lies broadly in the mathematical aspects of data science and applied probability, with a recent emphasize on theory and algorithms of diffusion models.
I enjoy seeing things from the dual perspectives of mathematical and computational thinking.
On the mathematical side, I enjoy using the tool of probability, analysis, geometry and numerical analysis to understand data and algorithms.
On the programming side, I develop research prototypes using Python, Julia, C++, CUDA with tools like git, linux cli and docker.
I am also broadly intrigued by topics in math/physics/cs and technologies.
Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss any of these topics! You can call me Yang, which sounds like "young" in English.
